This book conducts a study of Vigo's society and its evolution over a specific period: the first four decades of the 20th century. This was a time when the city experienced industrial development, which brought about other developments, such as economic, urban, demographic, social, cultural, artistic, and identity-related changes, until 1936, when an abrupt shift occurred that would affect these developments in some way. It is, therefore, an extraordinarily interesting period in the history of the city and its surroundings.
