The Cedeira family was a family of silversmiths of Portuguese origin who first settled in Santiago de Compostela and later also in Vigo, in the mid-16th century. Over successive generations, they developed an intense professional activity that led them to control a large part of the process of production, manufacturing, and commercialization of silver in Galicia, which has been documented throughout the Modern Age.
