This book brings together a selection of one hundred letters exchanged between Ricardo Bastida and Indalecio Prieto between 1919 and 1953, the year of the former's death. Witnesses and protagonists of the first friendship of the 20th century, this correspondence shows how two people "so different in origin, beliefs, political opinions, and even physical characteristics, can maintain and develop throughout their lives a true, deep, coherent, and invigorating friendship for both."
